Arore disrupts Polling in Popondetta
More than a thousand voters from the Ward One area of Popondetta Urban LLG, were turned away and stopped from exercising their democratic right to vote, NBC reports.
This happened after former Ijivitari MP and now Northern Regional Candidate David Arore, had disrupted polling for more than 30 minutes.
Ijivitari Assistant Returning Officer Newton Aruga said, those who had missed out in voting , will be allowed to go and cast their vote at Sewa Village tomorrow.
He also said that they will also be issued with a new ballot box for polling, while the disputed box had been sealed and locked away.
Meanwhile, NBC News was reliably informed that other Northern Regional candidates have teamed up to have Mr Arore arrested, for breaching the country's election laws.
