Amean bags hat-trick in Hunters win over Capras
The Papua New Guinea SPHunter’s winger Stargorth Amean begged a hat-trick as the SP PNG Hunters made fans proud with a 30-10 win over Central Queensland Capras in the round 17 Queensland Intrust Super Cup match yesterday afternoon at the National Football Stadium in Port Moresby.
With 6 all in the first half the Hunters struggled to gain momentum in the second half as Capras begged their second try, however the conversion was unsuccessful.
The Hunters regrouped and with 17 minutes left on the clock, Israel Eliab crossed over for the second try with a successful conversion from skipper Ase Boas to lead 12-10.
With 11 minutes left before full-time Hunters bagged another try from Stargorth Amean with a successful conversion from Boas as Hunters led 18-10.
Amean begged another two more tries in the remaining minutes to seal the game 30-10 with a successful conversion from captain Boas. PNGFM/PNG Today
