Another PNC man, Richard Maru re-elected

The People's National Congress Party has claimed another victory, with the declaration of Yangoru/Saussia Member-elect, Richard Maru.

According to NBC, Returning officer, Martin Wara declared the sitting MP  at 11-past 8 last night.

After the 13th exclusion of candidate Alphonse Kambian, Mr. Maru collected 1,041 which was added to his total tally of over 16,200, which surpassed the absolute majority of 15,400.

National Alliance Candidate, Peter Wararu Waranaka, finished second with 9,696.
