Powi's declaration is illegal : Wakias
SHP Provincial Election Manager Wakias says there is misleading information circulated on social media (Facebook) for provincial seat declaration in Mendi.
There was no declaration done yet and counting of primary votes are in progress today.
Wakias says the Provincial Returning Officer is in Port Moresby claiming of a declaration while his job is not completed yet in primary and eliminations.
Mr Wakias has instructed counting officials to continue count the 135 primary ballot boxes.
Wakias says he has informed the Electoral Commissioner Patilias Gamato of the situation and he was instructed to countinue count.
Wakias says the original writs is still with him and how was that declaration made.
