Robber shot dead in Kimbe

A man was shot and killed by police on election security operations in West New Britain .
The dead man was part of a gang that was involved in an armed robbery in Kimbe yesterday.

Provincial Police Commander, Jim Namora says, the gang had robbed a scrap metal company off properties and cash worth over K8,000.

They had used three home-made guns and bush knives to commit the crime.
Mr. Namora says the robbers were intercepted by police as they fled the crime scene.
