RSIPF concludes two weeks Middle Management training
Twenty-one officers of the RSIPF from stations throughout the country have completed a two-week Middle Management training program coordinated by the Police Academy at Rove in Honiara.
The training included topics such as, Organisational, Command and Community Responsibilities, Leadership and Legislations, Team Management, Communication Techniques, Leadership and Problem Solving Skills and Discipline Policies and Procedures.
“You are now equipped with the right tools to perform to the standard that the RSIPF expects you to perform. You must become a role model in the organisation as you go out and implement what you have learnt during your training here at the Academy,” says Inspector Clive Talo, Deputy Director of the RSIPF Academy at the end of the training on 8 September 2017.
Middle Management in the RSIPF includes officers at the ranks of Senior Constable, Sergeant and Staff Sergeants.
Besides the training of new police recruits every year, the Police Academy also coordinates other training for serving officers from middle to senior management.
