Eliab, Abavu axed from Hunters Team

PNG Hunters Coach Michael Marum has axed star players Israel Eliab and Bland Abavo from the 2018 Train-on squad. 

The Hunters are preparing to defend their premiership title in 2018 season and the axing of  the incumbent backs sends strong message to other players that there is zero tolerance of  ill-discipline in the team. 

Coach, Michael Marum, in his no-nonsense approach, sighted ill-discipline as the main reason behind his decision.

Meanwhile, the  Hunters will  host NRL team Brisbane Broncos in a pre-season trial match in February next year (2018) and team training has begun.
