SP PNG Hunters ready to take on 2019 Super Cup Season


The SP PNG Hunters are all set for another round of tough competition in the Queensland Intrust Super Cup 2019 season.

The final 31 men squad was announced last night at the2019 Season Launching of the club and the man to lead the team in the battles to come is Adex Wera as Captain with Moses Menninga as his Vice Captain.
Papua New Guinea Rugby Football League (PNGRFL) Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Mr. Reatau Rau, said perhaps the most exciting thingfor the club now is that it has been given the thumbs up to continue participating in the competition.

“PNG Rugby League on the 07th of February2019 signed a new participation agreement with Queensland Rugby League to compete in the Intrust Super Cup from 2019 to 2022,” said the CEO.

Mr. Rau also added that the success of the Huntersover the last five years has been achieved through the tremendous support from sponsors and thanked them for their continuous effort is ensuring the club continues its participation in the competition.

He said the cost and the logistics of managing the club continues to be a massive task and the good support from sponsors and partners go a long way to helping the management.
