Former PNG PM O'Neill's arrest Warrant case adjourned to Friday
The National Court hearing of the application by former Prime Minister and Ialibu-Pangia MP, Peter O'Neill, has been adjourned to Friday.
Lawyers representing O'Neill and the police agreed for the adjournment after appearing for the matter this morning.
No specific reasons were given however, the stay order preventing the arrest warrant from being executed was extended, until the case is heard and determined.
Mr. O'Neill in his application is questioning the merits of his arrest warrant obtained by Police at the Waigani District Court on October 11.
Police will explain to the National Court the information laid to the District Court to obtain the warrant, while O'Neill will argue the warrant is defective and should be dismissed.
