The International community has been reminded that Bougainville is still part of Papua New Guinea.
The country's Foreign Affairs and International Trade Minister, Patrick Pruaitch, made this clear during his meeting with heads of Foreign Missions in Port Moresby.
Mr. Pruaitch also thanked the international community for supporting Papua New Guinea in conducting the Bougainville Referendum.
"As Foreign minister, I would like to state that your engagement with Bougainville must come though Foreign Affairs to deal with affairs of Bougainville.
"Bougainville, as it is at present, is still an integral part of PNG and we want to make sure that our sovereignty remains until decided by Parliament, said Pruaitch.
