PNG Education Dept announces Examination Results, Top Performing Schools in 2020
The Papua New Guinea Education Department has announced the 2020 Grade 10 and 12 Examination Results online. "Students, parents and schools can now login to the system and access the results online". Education Secretary Dr. Uke Kombra said despite the many challenges including the COVID-19 pandemic, many schools stayed on and delivered till the end. 'All of us in one way or another despite challenges, want to see that every school is a success.”
This year 2020, saw 72 124 Grade 10 students faced the Grade 10 National Examinations while 30, 711 Grade 12 students set for the Grade 12 Examinations.
The top performing schools in 2020 were also announced.
“I urge principals to take a week from your school to go and observe what triggers these top performing schools to be the best,” Education secretary Dr Uke Kombra said during the announcement of the top performing grade 10 and 12 schools this year, in Port Moresby.
“Learn from your colleagues to improve and progress where it’s a practical thing to do because we learn from experience.”
The rankings are based on the overall academic performance sourced from the internal and external results or marks put together.
Private runs school are not included.
