10 New COVID-19 cases reported in PNG
Papua New Guinea has ten (10)more new positive COVID-19 cases reported in the last 24 hours bringing the country’s total cases to 833 and 9 deaths.
Nine cases were reported in West New Britain whilst one in New Ireland Province.
The nine cases in West New Britain were from Talasea District and include five females and four males with ages ranging between 19 to 53.
All nine cases did not show symptoms of COVID-19 but swab samples returned positive.
In New Ireland province, was a 51 year old male from Lihir, Namatanai district.
He showed no symptoms of COVID-19 at the time of testing but results from swab samples returned positive.
Meanwhile sixteen provinces including the Autonomous Region Of Bougainville have reported positive cases.
The country’s COVID-19 cases as a result now stands at 833 with 9 known deaths.
