Port Moresby Hospital Records Highest Alcohol related injuries
Port Moresby General Hospital has recorded the highest number of alcohol-related injuries, a day after the New Year.
Surgical Coordinator Dr. Noah Tapaua said the hospital recorded a total of 40 patients, with 20 of them being admitted to the hospital.
Dr. Tapaua said that was the biggest number, the hospital has ever recorded in a day.
Meanwhile, the Port Moresby General Hospital is currently in need of more blood.
Surgical Coordinator Dr. Noah Tapaua told a media conference yesterday that blood supply is now the major concern for the hospital.
This after the hospital saw more than 40 patients over the New Year, which was all alcohol-related and needed major operations.
