Sir Ipatas Challenges Papua New Guineans to follow Good Legacy left behind by Grand Chief
The Governor for Enga Province Sir Peter Ipatas has challenged citizens to reflect on and follow the good legacy left behind by the country's founding father, the late Grand Chief Sir Michael Somare.

Sir Peter made the remarks when extending his condolence, on behalf of the people of Enga Province to Lady Veronica, the Somare family, and the people of East Sepik on the passing of what he described as a great and visionary leader, who had touched the hearts of people throughout the country.
Speaking at the Sir John Guise Stadium Indoor Complex hauscry, yesterday (Friday 5th of March, 2021), Sir Peter stated that Sir Michael committed his life to lay the foundation for a strong and vibrant country, and to serve the people.
He says during the two weeks of the mourning period, people must reflect on the legacy and good leadership left behind by the Grand Chief.
Sir Peter Ipatas on behalf of his people of Enga Province also presented cash contribution to the Governor for East Sepik Allan Bird, to assist with the hauscry in East Sepik Province.
