Consultation to declare PNG as Christian Country continues
The inquiry to declare PNG as a Christian country is gaining momentum from a wider spectrum of society, as consultations in the Highlands and Momase regions continue into the second week.
The Constitutional Law Reform Commission (CLRC) is conducting the inquiry in

the Western and Eastern Highlands, Morobe, and Sandaun provinces.
They met with representatives of churches, non-government organisations, social organizations as well as members of the public.
Its Chairman, Kevin Isifu says it was encouraging to see people willing to give their views without reservations.
He says the Constitution belongs to the people who are entitled to their own views and must be consulted first before any proposal or amendment is made to it.
He says these are only preliminary views of people from the provincial level, but the final majority national view on the Inquiry will be established at the end of the nationwide consultation in early June.
Consultations are continuing in other provinces.
