South Bougainville Launches Cocao and Copra Buying Company
The people of South Bougainville today witnessed the official launch of the BUSIBA South Bougainville Corporation LIMITED that will export Cocoa and Copra and other agriculture commodities to overseas market.

The Company established by the SOUTH BOUGAINVILLE DDA represents the four districts of South Bougainville and BUSIBA stands for BUIN, SIWAI and BANA.
The National Minister for Agriculture, MR. JOHN SIMON the member for Maprik officially launched the company and presented the Export Licence to BUSIBA to start doing their business.
The Minister also presented TWO HUNDRED THOUSAND KINA as seed capital for the company to commence operating.
The Minister also paid another TWENTY THOUSAND KINA as freight subsidy to the company.
The launch was carried live on New Dawn FM in Buin and Buka and was also witnessed by ABG members from South Bougainville and the people of South Bougainville.
The Minister also pledged ONE HUNDRED THOUSAND KINA that he would further assist BUSIBA to start buying Copra.
The company will begin operating after three weeks.
