Former PNG Parliamentarian Ben Micah dies
Former Kavieng MP Ben Micah passed away this morning in Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea.
The Office of New Ireland Governor Sir Julius Chan confirmed his passing.

The Office said Mr Micah passed away at 10:15am at the Pacific International Hospital.
Sir Julius made an official announcement in the Provincial Assembly sitting currently underway in Kavieng.
The late Mr Micah was first elected to the 5th National Parliament in 1992 and was appointed member of the Appointments Committee, Standing Orders Committee, Chairman of the Public Works Committee and Chairman of the Constitutional Commission.
He served in different ministerial portfolios, including Minister for Transport and Minister for State Enterprises and Investments.
After losing the 2017 elections, Mr Micah took a keen interest in sport, particularly boxing.
He was the patron and promoter of Oceania Fight Promotions until his passing.
Late Mr Micah had hinted at running again in this year's elections.
