Air Niugini Resumes Flights to Mount Hagen

Air Niugini resumed flights to Kagamuga Airport, Mount Hagen in Western Highlands Province this morning (Friday May 13, 2022), after closely monitoring and assessing the situation on the ground.


In a media release today, the national flag carrier dispatched it's first flight PX 180 from Port Moresby to Mount Hagen after 9am this morning.

This will be followed by three other flights today - PX 182, PX 184 and PX 188.

The airline company suspended services to Mount Hagen yesterday due to civil unrest.

Air Niugini operates up to five flights to Kagamuga Airport daily
