Mr Wang was welcomed by Foreign Affairs and Trade Secretary Elias Wohengu, Acting Chief Protocol Officer James Noglai and the Chinese Ambassador Zeng Fanhua and senior officials from Foreign Affairs and the Chinese embassy.

From the APEC terminal, he proceeded straight to the China Habour Apartments.

According to the program, Mr Wang will hold bilateral talks with his PNG counterpart Soroi Eoe at the Stanley Hotel tomorrow.

After the meeting, he will witness the signing of a memorandum of understanding to promote investment cooperation in Green Development and also pay a courtesy call on Prime Minister, James Marape.

The visit comes at the back of criticisms by former Prime Minister and Member for Ialibu - Pangia Peter O' Neill and the Opposition Leader Belden Namah , who questioned the timing of the visit, especially during this election period.
