Dr. Amoko said he came to the checkout counter with the trolley and due to internet banking issues his transaction was taking time to process
The Asian shop manager became impatient with him and started cursing.
Dr. Amoko says he heard him cursing
right behind him so he turned to him and argued with to a scuffle and the Doctor was immediately surrounded by few security guards and male employees who punched him several times on his head and face only to be rescued by other kind shoppers.
He recalls the Asian shop manager hit him with a piece of wood and this caused bruising and laceration to his head while his face was sore all over and he was traumatized by this incident.
Dr. Amoko has already lodged a complaint with Boroko police station and said he will continue to follow up on this because he said the way he was treated, it was like he was a criminal trying to rob them.
"This kind of behavior is unbecoming of a foreigner who comes into our country to do business and mistreat citizens as they wish," he said.
