Our visitors were part of the USAID, who came to assist with logistics and relief supplies to displaced families following the Mt Bagana volcanic eruption.
US marine corps airlifted relief supplies from the Buka airport to Torokina in South Bougainville.
The Australian and New Zealand also assisted in AID to the Autonomous Region of Bougainville.
They also managed to airlift officers from the Emergency Disaster Management team, volunteers and donor partners.
As Bougainville draws to the aftermath of Bougainville, the support from our donors is evident that it will continue and that they are here to stay.
