Adrian Chow, Chairman of the PNGNRLC, expressed his excitement about the release of the 2025 draw. "Following the historic announcement that a PNG team will join the NRL in 2028, this competition is crucial for providing our players with opportunities to compete at the national level," he stated. "Each week, we will witness the talent, skills, and excitement this competition brings. I extend my gratitude to our sponsors, clubs, players, coaches, and fans. I am confident that 2025 will be an outstanding season."

Chow emphasized the importance of fair play among clubs and spectators, wishing all teams the best in their preparations and games.

Tony Archer, General Manager of Pathways and Performance, echoed these sentiments, highlighting the success of last season's Conference and the significance of the new draw. "Last season was marked by incredibly close competition, most notably the Kroton Hela Wigmen’s dramatic journey to the finals, which came down to the final play of the regular season," he recalled. "It demonstrated the emotion and excitement rugby league brings to our fans. I anticipate that the 2025 season will be even more thrilling and look forward to its commencement."

Building on the successes of 2024, the teams will compete over 18 regular rounds across the country. The season will culminate in the Grand Final, scheduled for Sunday, September 14th. This significant event will precede the nation's celebration of its 50th Anniversary of Independence, adding to the excitement and national pride surrounding the tournament.
