SP PNG Hunters Dominate Seagulls with 30-12 Victory in Round 8 Hostplus Cup Clash
The SP PNG Hunters delivered a dominant performance on home soil, defeating the Wynnum Manly Seagulls 30-12 in Round 8 of the Hostplus Cup at the Santos National Football Stadium.
The Hunters scored six tries in total, with centre Brandon Nima leading the charge by bagging a hat-trick in the 15th, 38th, and 75th minutes. Winger Solo Wane crossed the line twice in the 59th and 78th minutes, while halfback Sanny Wabo added his name to the scoresheet in the 55th minute.

Despite a low conversion rate, the Hunters managed three successful kicks from six attempts. Jamie Mavoko slotted one in the 57th minute, while Trevor Solu added two more in the 77th and 79th minutes.
The Seagulls responded with two tries through fullback Ben Farr, who crossed early in the 5th minute and again in the 65th. Jock Madden converted the first, with Jude Saldanha adding the second conversion in the 66th minute.
The Hunters held a narrow 8-6 lead at halftime but surged ahead in the second half to secure the convincing 30-12 victory in front of their Port Moresby supporters.
