PNG Police Training Expands with Over 100 New Recruits from Momase

Papua New Guinea’s police recruitment and training efforts have taken a major step forward with the arrival of over 100 new recruits from the Momase Region. The Royal Papua New Guinea Constabulary (RPNGC) confirmed that these successful candidates are part of the next intake for police training.

The recruits come from the four provinces of the Momase Region — East Sepik, West Sepik, Madang, and Morobe. Their selection is part of a broader effort by the Police Commissioner to increase manpower across the country.

While training is underway for this group, the recruitment team is preparing to travel to other regions to conduct interviews and finalize shortlisting for additional candidates. The Southern Region is expected to contribute the next batch of recruits.

This ongoing recruitment initiative reflects the Police Commissioner’s commitment to strengthening the force and improving law and order throughout PNG. The expansion in numbers is aligned with national security priorities.

The RPNGC management has extended best wishes to the current recruits as they begin their training and has thanked all involved in the continuing recruitment efforts.
