The announcement was made during a special event at the Madang Teachers College, where local leaders and education officials congratulated the selected students.
Under the arrangement, the students will travel to India to pursue specialised training and degree programs, with the goal of returning to PNG with enhanced skills and qualifications.
Madang Governor Ramsey Pariwa highlighted the significance of the opportunity, describing it as a milestone for FODE and a testament to the determination of students who have overcome challenges to complete their studies.
He called on the students to represent PNG with pride, integrity, and academic excellence while abroad.
The FODE Madang Centre has been a vital pathway for individuals who have been unable to continue in the formal education system, offering a second chance to achieve academic and professional success.
Education authorities say the partnership with India is expected to strengthen in the future, enabling more students from across PNG to benefit from overseas training.
