Minister Haskel delivered personal greetings from Israel’s Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, and expressed her government’s desire to expand cooperation in sectors such as agriculture, renewable energy, education, and technology.
Prime Minister Marape welcomed the visit, describing it as a reflection of the strong and enduring bond between the two nations. He said Papua New Guinea continues to regard Israel as a valuable partner in advancing shared development goals and technical cooperation.
Both leaders expressed confidence that the visit would lead to fresh initiatives and agreements to enhance bilateral engagement. They emphasized the importance of partnerships that create tangible benefits for both peoples.
The discussions took place at the Prime Minister’s Office in Port Moresby and are expected to mark a new chapter in the evolving relationship between Papua New Guinea and Israel.
