Bus Plunges Into Ravine, 13 Dead Near Goroka in PNG
A devastating road accident in Papua New Guinea has left 13 people dead after a passenger bus plunged into a ravine near Korefegu, outside Goroka, on Tuesday afternoon.
The coaster bus, travelling from Lae to Mt Hagen, reportedly lost control on a sharp bend around 3 p.m. before veering off the highway.

Emergency crews, including police and firefighters, spent several hours at the scene, retrieving the last body by 6 p.m. Officials said excessive speed and slippery tires may have contributed to the crash.
A baby was among those killed, while several injured passengers were rushed to Kapakamiliki Health Centre and Goroka Hospital. Police are continuing their investigations into the deadly incident.
