Solomon Airlines Confirms Port Moresby Flights as Part of Regional Push

Solomon Airlines has confirmed it will introduce direct flights between Honiara and Port Moresby from March 2026, as part of a broader expansion of its international services across the Pacific region.

The airline said the new route is aimed at strengthening air links between the Solomon Islands and Papua New Guinea, while improving connections for business, government and leisure travellers moving through the region.

Under the revised schedule, a weekly Honiara–Port Moresby service will commence on 31 March 2026, operating on Tuesdays. Solomon Airlines said the timing of the flight has been planned to connect with international services out of Port Moresby, including routes linking Papua New Guinea with major Asian hubs.

In addition to the Port Moresby service, the airline will reintroduce weekly flights between Honiara and Port Vila from 30 March 2026, restoring a direct link between the Solomon Islands and Vanuatu. The schedule will also allow passengers to travel between Port Moresby and Port Vila via Honiara.
