Air Niugini’s participation is being delivered in partnership with aircraft manufacturer Airbus, highlighting the airline’s expanding international profile and growing confidence in its modern fleet. The Singapore Airshow is widely regarded as a premier forum for aviation innovation, commercial partnerships and future-focused dialogue.

At the centre of attention is Air Niugini’s Airbus A220-300 aircraft, P2-PGA, displayed in full Papua New Guinea livery. The aircraft is positioned among leading global airlines on static display and is being showcased by Airbus to potential customers and investors as part of the A220 programme.

Visitors, including students and aviation enthusiasts, are able to tour the aircraft and engage directly with Air Niugini staff, gaining insight into the airline’s product, operations and future direction.

Adding a distinct PNG presence, ten cultural ambassadors from Morobe, East Sepik, Hela, Central, Enga, Southern Highlands and East New Britain are performing and interacting with guests, presenting a vivid expression of Papua New Guinea’s cultural diversity.

Air Niugini Board Chairman Karl Yalo described the debut as a defining moment for the airline, saying,

“This is a proud moment for Air Niugini and for Papua New Guinea. The Singapore Airshow gives us a global platform to showcase our modern Airbus A220 fleet, the confidence we have in our product, and our identity as a nation rich in culture and opportunity.”
