NRL Legends to run clinic in PNG
Want to meet one homegrown rugby league champion, and another two all-time footballing greats next month? And maybe get a signed playing jersey from your heroes in the bargain? Then stay tuned.
As part of an historic launch of their new brand identity, PNG-owned insurance company Pacific Assurance Group (PAG) will bring three of rugby league’s most famous names to Port Moresby to coach local youngsters on October 31st.
And they are giving selected lucky locals the chance to meet their heroes at the same time.
Local NRL success story, PNG Kumul and Gold Coast Titans utility back David Mead will be joined by ‘The Eighth Immortal’, Andrew Johns, and former Queensland Origin legend Gorden Tallis to conduct the PAG Footy Legends Clinic on October 31st.
As part of the celebrations surrounding their unveil of PAG’s new brand identity, company founder Johnson Tia and CEO Paul Affleck wanted to share their special guests with the Port Moresby community, after engaging them as guest speakers at their gala VIP brand launch at The Crown Plaza that day.
“We will be holding a special VIP event on Friday, October 31st to unveil our new brand to our distinguished guests,” said Mr Affleck.
“But we wanted to do something special for local league lovers. We know what it means for them to get the chance to get up close and personal with legends like David, Andrew and Gorden.
“Through the clinic they can also get an insight into what makes these players the champions they are, from a skills lesson point of view.”
A further special announcement on PAG’s relationship with David Mead will be announced at the launch.
PAG will announce further details of the PAG Footy Legends Clinic imminently - and how members of the general public can have a chance to attend the clinic, and receive lifelong mementos from the occasion.
