PNG NAMBAWAN SUPER LIMITED LAUNCHES NEW WEBSITE

PORT MORESBY, January, 19 2015: Nambawan Super Limited today launched its new and improved website for it its members and the public.
Nambawan Super Chief Executive Officer, Garry Tunstall said, “the website has been revamped with a focus to get members more engaged with superannuation; keeping members informed, planning for retirement, increasing contributions, building a first home and a simple and less cluttered way to navigate and get required information.”
Mr. Tunstall further stated that in 2014 Nambawan commenced a major organizational transformation to better position the Fund to be more customer centric and responsive to the needs of its members. As part of that exercise, the Fund is expanding and or upgrading its distribution channels to include:
(a) Upgrading Regional Centres of Lae, Mt Hagen, Goroka, Kokopo and Aopi Center (Port Moresby) to best practice standards in terms of technology and resourcing
(b) Rolled out an improved SMS service on both Bmobile and Digicel
(c) Revamped the national Call Centre with the latest technology and staffing upgrade
(d) Upgrading the backend system to provide direct access to members through smartphones to complement the new-look website and online offering.
The revamped website has been designed to be more user- friendly for members and is inclusive with a Superannuation Calculator enabling members to foresee and calculate how much they should have in their accounts in future.
Nambawan Super is encouraging its members to actively use the Superannuation Calculator on its website to get a visual impression of how fast their contributions can grow if they decide to increase via voluntary contributions.
Mr. Tunstall also indicated that Nambawan Super head office will be shifting to the Old Parliament Haus (OPH) building in Port Moresby around mid-2015. Tunstall said the shift to OPH is part of revamping the organizational culture where all staff will be located on two floors instead of the current four floors fit out. This he said will greatly enhance communication and better workflows.
Nambawan Super will also be distributing the 2014 Member Statements through its 18 branch network nationwide in a shift to reduce risk to members and service them better. Members will be notified and properly informed when statements are ready for distribution. The geographic spread and dispersion of Nambawan members within the country is the reason why many members have never received their statements in the past.
To reduce the risk of member information being exposed to the general public, NSL will not be delivering statements through postal addresses. Members will have to visit their nearest branch to collect their statements. This follows a major customer satisfaction survey that Nambawan ran in 2014 where 80% of members being aware of the risks involved, elected to receive their annual statements through an NSL branch.
