Rabaul Gurias name team for 2015 Digicel Cup
A new look Agmark Rabaul Gurias has named its 28 men squad in its campaign for the upcoming Digicel Cup 2015 season.
The new Gurias team is headed by a new coach Steven Nightingale and his new coaching staff and already anticipate a big test ahead of them.
“Season 2015 will be a big test for our very young and some, what inexperienced squad but myself and the team will be looking forward to the challenge,” said Coach Nightingale.
The team was trimmed to 28 men out of the 34 boys that were trialled for 2 weeks.
Mr. Nightingale said they were lucky enough to have a few older and more experienced players back again to help lead the team in the likes of Joe Bruno and 2015 Gurias captain Albert Patak.
He said they were in a rebuilding stage as a club and looked forward to the next couple of years and not just this year to be PNG’s number 1 rugby league club.
