PNG Hunters set for Wynnum Manly Seagulls

The Papua New Guinea SP Hunters are set for round 23 Intrust Super match against the in-form and third placed Wynnum Manly Seagulls this Sunday. The game will be played in front of a sell-out  crowd of over 15 000  at the Pacific Games venue Sir John Guise in Port Moresby.
This will the the Hunter's second game to be hosted in the capital. The first Queensland Cup match staged at the venue was the Round 14 night clash on June 14 between the South Pacific Brewery-sponsored Hunters and the Souths Logan Magpies, which saw the stadium filled to capacity.
It was a Pacific Games test event and involved more than 100 police and security personnel.
Tickets were not sold at the stadium for that game, which the Hunters won 32-14.
Both sides are in great form having won their previous games with clinical displays.

The Hunters have named unchanged team that brought down the Ipswich Jets 28 - 14 last week. They are determined to keep up their unbeaten record at home this year.

THE Hunters  have put out a close to full strength side for the  blockbuster against the Wynnum Manly Seagulls.  Thompson Teteh has been named as 18th man . Back-rower Brandy Peter is out with a strained hamstring from the Ipswich game, with Adam Korave returning to the starting side at lock.  Timothy Lomai shifts to the back-row and Lawrence Tu’u coming onto the bench, with the rest of the team retained for the clash.

“Brandy won’t be able to play but he’ll travel with us to Moresby for treatment on his hamstring.
“We’ve given him two weeks and Korave comes into lock and big Lomai moves to the second-row.”
The fourth spot on the bench normally reserved for the utility goes to Atte Bina, who has been in good form over the last three matches in the roles Marum has asked him to play.

“Atte’s a really good utility; defensively strong and can cover a variety of positions.
