PNG Hunters Team announced for Round 22 match against Ipswich Jets
The SP PNG Hunters face another tough test against Ipswich Jets in their Round 22 game away this Saturday after three weeks at home.
Coach Michael Marum has named Ase Boas, who was rested in last week’s 24-22 victory over Easts Tigers, at halfback with Edward Goma who played for the Agmark Gurias named at centre.
The option of shifting Kato Ottio into the centres, a position left vacant by Thompson Teteh, who is out injured and which Lawrence Tu’u cannot fill because of his unavailability.
The SP Hunters beat the Ipswich Jets 40-28 when they hosted them at Kalabond Oval in Round 13 are fresh from a bye and a much tougher team than that scoreline indicated so coach Marum expects his team to be at their best.
The Jets, who have named two Papua New Guineans Rod Griffin and Richard Pandia in their side are sitting in third spot on 32 while the SP Hunters would want to maintain their second spot on 35 points.
