PNG Hunters in do-or-die battle

The PNG Hunters go into sudden death preliminary final against the high flying Jets  this afternoon at the BMD Kougari Oval. And coach Michael Marum has  called for an all out effort from every member of his team. The competition’s coach of the year says nothing short of a 100 per cent commitment from every member of the match day 17 will be needed in their most important game of the club’s short history.
“I need every member of my team to perform; every one of the 17 has to put in a complete effort. There’s no room for passengers,” Marum said.
“It’s bodies on the line for us this weekend. All or nothing. We are not only representing our club, sponsors and league but our fans around the country and in Australia and we want to continue the success of this season for them.

The Hunters management, coaching staff, fans around the country and abroad want nothing but  a win over the Jets. PNG Hunters have a good record against the Jets and this will boost their confidence to prevent any possible upset. The Hunters have beaten the Jets in three occasion while they only lost one game against the them.   A win for the Hunters will see them book a grand final showdown against the Townsville Blackhawks at the Suncorp Stadium.

The game will be telecasted live on Channel 9 and TVWan Sports starting at 2:30 pm this afternoon.
