PNG extends condolences to Russia following airliner crash in Egypt
Prime Minister of Papua New Guinea, Peter O’Neill has extended condolences to the Russian Government following the death of 224 people in an air crash in Egypt.
“The Government of Papua New Guinea extends its condolences on behalf of our people to the Government and people of Russia following this tragic incident,” the Prime Minister said.
“Our thoughts and prayers are with the families of the men, women and children who were killed.
“The death of people in an air crash is a matter for which there must be answers and we can anticipate a full investigation.”
Prime Minister O’Neill said he will personally convey Papua New Guinea’s condolences when he meets with President Vladimir Putin at the APEC Leaders’ Summit in two weeks.
