Digicel Play transmits with new satellite dishes
Digicel PNG has purchased three new satellite dishes to improve quality and performance for their television broadcast through Digicel Play in the country.
The first switch of transmission was done this morning from the old dish to one of the new 7.8 metre dishes that cover the Pacific Region including PNG.
Digicel Play, Chief Technical Officer, Mr Alan Constant says that the advantage of the new dishes will also help to improve performance for their subscribers meaning the distorted signals that used to be face by subscribers during rains will be a thing of the past giving smooth and quality television broadcast to the customers.
He stressed that the dishes also allows them to expand their services giving better coverage in the country and the Pacific Region.
