Two people dead in fatal road accident in Port Moresby
A fatal vehicle accident has occurred this morning in Port Moresby where 2 people were killed instantly while 3 were admitted to hospital with critical injury after a Hino truck with gravel belonging to POM Stones Limited lost control of its brakes and smashed into a red 5th element vehicle at the Kone round about in Port Moresby.
According to an eye witness, Mal Luma, the truck was in a high speed and lost control of its brakes while attempting to turn the corner of the Kone roundabout when it dented two cabs and fell onto a Red 5th Element Vehicle.
Another eye witness Pandai Poko who was at the scene said that the truck was at the Laws road and was heading down when it lost its control of its brakes.
Poko said because of the load of gravel, the driver of the truck attempted to avoid hitting two vehicles when it under estimated its balance and fell onto the Red 5th Element.
Poko added that the driver of the truck attempted to escape but was caught by the public and handed over to the police.
