Tonga's Trade in April 2016 records TOP$ 30 million deficit

Tonga’s foreign trade statistics for the month of April 2016 recorded a deficit of TOP$ 30.3 million.

The Statistics Department reports this was the result of an excess in imports of TOP$32.7 million over export worth of almost TOP$2.4 million for the period of April 2016.

Radio Tonga reports when compared with the trade deficit of TOP$39.7 million for March 2016, it recorded a decrease of TOP$ 9.3million in April.

The largest in import by harmonized groups was mineral products with TOP$7.5 million.
