"As Minister Responsible as per the PFMA for Disposal of State Assets, Minister Marape and Senior Finance Department Management have taken the lead to ensure all processes are complete and correct.
The Process of Disposal of Assets donated or purchased by the State was stalled upon notice from the Ombudsman Commission to hold all processes until it was fully satisfied that all assets were accounted for.

This was due to concerns raised publicly and on the floor of Parliament that some vehicles could be missing and accounted for.

According to the Minister, the total count at the main warehouse does confirm 40 Maseratis, and 2 Bentleys, while the other Bentley is at Government House as committed to the Office of the Governor General.
This process is to ensure the Total Asset Inventory is complete and finalised, before the Process of Full Disposal takes place.

Tenders have publicly officially gone out for Expressions of Interest and Notice from the Ombudsman Commission to allow the Disposal Process will now give the Department the green light to continue.
All Assets are public Assets whether they are donated or purchased by the State.
While all state assets will be disposed off, Donors have also given also asked for assets donated to be distributed to Medical Centres, Hospitals, Schools and other Community service agencies for the public.
