Four licensed operators to test new Coral Sea Cable system in Solomon Islands
The Solomon Submarine Cable has announced four licensed operators in the country that are now connected to the International Coral Sea Cable System for customer trials, which will last until the end of January 2020.
The trials will also be extended to the Solomon Islands Domestic Network, with one operator already connected to Auki while the company aims to connect at least one to Noro and Taro by next week.
During this trial, customers will get to experience the high quality, low latency internet service that the system provides while also allowing the operators to evaluate the potential of the new cable to suit their business and operational needs and aspirations.
