Prime Minister Marape invites more Indians to Invest in Papua New Guinea
Papua New Guinea Prime Minister James Marape has invited investors from India to invest in the country.
He said they are on the lookout for companies to come in and participate in downstream processing of resources like gold, oil and gas, and timber and fisheries.
PM Marape also took time to acknowledge the people of India, and Papua New Guinean's of Indian origin, who have been in the country for many years and contributed towards its development.
Mr. Marape was speaking during a celebration hosted on Wednesday night by the High Commissioner of India to Papua New Guinea at the APEC Haus in Port Moresby to commemorate India's 72 years of being a democratic country.
