Remote Koroba District in Hela gets X-Ray and Pathology services
Patients in Hela will now be able to access x-ray and pathology services after a new clinic at the Koroba District Hospital in Hela was officially opened this week.

Australian High Commissioner Jon Philp officiated at the event with local MP Hon. Petrus Thomas, MP and other stakeholders representing the partnership in delivering essential health services.
Together with our partners, we have supported the hospital with building repairs after the 2018 earthquake, placement of medical and technical specialists and the new x-ray and pathology clinics.
Community leaders also took the opportunity to get vaccinated against COVID-19 during the event.
The project was jointly supported by the #PNGAusPartnership, Oil Search Foundation, Hela Provincial Health Authority and the District Development Authority as a key priority to improving health care services in the area....read related Health Stories on : PNG Health Watch
