PNG Lakatois Sail Past Vanuatu

The PNG Lakatois have managed to beat the Vanuatu team in the Oceania Football Confederate (OFC) Women's Nations Cup,  three (3) goals to one (1), at the ANZ Stadium in Fiji this afternoon.

The PNG women scored their first goal through Marie Kaipu in the 35th minute, and defended their one goal advantage until half time.

When they returned in the second half, the Vanuatu women, added more pressure on the PNG defenders, and managed to score through Vanessa Keletia for a tie on the 72nd minute.

PNG Lakatoi's Ramona Padio managed to deliver another PNG goal on the 75th minute, and this brought the score to 2 goals to 1.

Charlyne Yandin again scored for the Lagatoi's on the 79th minute, and this saw them defending their goal mouth until the final whistle.

Samoa managed to dispose off Tonga 2 goals to nil yesterday, while Solomon Islands and Fiji will battle it out later this afternoon, to complete this group stage matches.
