PNGDF and ADF Strengthen Ties with PAC-750 Inaugural Flight

The Deputy Chief of the Papua New Guinea Defence Force (PNGDF), Brigadier General Opa Lari Opa, along with Australian Defence Adviser Colonel Travis Gordon, recently experienced their inaugural flight in the PNGDF PAC-750 aircraft. The milestone flight was conducted as part of a collaborative effort between the PNGDF and the Australian Defence Force (ADF).

Guided by ADF Qualified Flying Instructor Squadron Leader Cory Fischer, PNGDF pilot Second Lieutenant Rothman Spaiye demonstrated the PAC-750’s impressive capabilities during a flight to Kerema. The flight showcased not only the aircraft's performance but also the growing expertise and professionalism within the PNGDF aviation team.

The event underscored the strong partnership between the PNGDF and the ADF. Both organisations have worked closely in training, operational support, and capacity building to enhance PNG's defence capabilities.
