Daga Coffee From PNG's Milne Bay Lands in Estonia for the First Time
Milne Bay’s Daga coffee has secured a major breakthrough on the world stage with the arrival of a five-ton shipment in Estonia this week. The export marks the first independent overseas deal for the province’s farmers and has been hailed as a milestone achievement for Papua New Guinea’s coffee industry.
The shipment was made possible through the efforts of Gray Cafe Trading and the Nenuma Cooperative Society, led by Graydon Puinam. The turning point came when an Estonian buyer visited the Daga region to sample the coffee directly from farmers. Impressed by its taste, the buyer immediately purchased the entire five-ton lot, signaling confidence in the product’s quality and future marketability.
