U.S. Embassy and PNGUoT Renew Partnership for American Space Lae

Papua New Guinea has reaffirmed its educational connection with the United States following the renewal of a partnership between the U.S. Embassy in Papua New Guinea and the Papua New Guinea University of Technology for the American Space in Lae.

The renewed arrangement ensures continued public access to educational information, particularly on study opportunities in the United States, exchange programmes, and learning resources aimed at strengthening academic awareness.

The American Space in Lae continues to operate as a free-access hub where students and members of the public can explore information on U.S. education pathways and cultural exchange initiatives.

The U.S. Embassy in PNG says the facility plays an important role in connecting people from both countries through knowledge sharing and educational engagement.

It further noted that the initiative supports long-term cooperation between Papua New Guinea and the United States, which has developed over more than five decades of diplomatic relations.

“The U.S. Embassy in Port Moresby and Papua New Guinea University of Technology have renewed their partnership for the American Space in Lae,” the Embassy said.
