Situation at UPNG Campus remains quiet

Situation at the UPNG Waigani campus remains quiet as police continues to maintain its presence.
With almost seventy percent of the students not on the university grounds, a source within the Universities campus security has also confirmed that administration staff turned up for work this morning however left at 10am this morning.

The source revealed, that after the unrest of the day twenty male students were on campus including five females and the on campus with Uni force guards on duty last night grouping all twenty male students together in one male dormitory with the five females in a female dormitory in order to ensure that their safety and ensure there is no trouble.

“Uniforce’s main concern is that we provide security for the staff and students and on campus property”, said the unnamed source.

The source added that this was made evident yesterday when they used their security vehicle to assist injured student to and fro to the Hospitals however he alleged that three Uniforce guards were assaulted upon trying to assist a female student who had fell into the drain he concluded by saying that almost 70 percent of the student population.
