One survivor from Hevilift plane crash dies
One of the survivor of the Hevilift plane crash has died from injuries sustained.
This brings to four dead (2 pilots and 2 passengers) so far.
The other five survivors are battling for their lives at the ICU (Intensive Care Unit) Port Moresby General Hospital.
The six survivors were rushed from the crash site late yesterday afternoon but today one died this morning.
The names of the dead and the survivors have yet to be released.
A female Papua New Guinean Pilot and her counterpart from Australia are dead after the plane they were flying crashed on a mountain near Laloki Mental Health Centre and 8km from the Jacksons Airport.
The crash site is outside of Laloki Health Centre and 8km from Jackson’s Airport
Investigators have returned to the crash site to continue their work.
The Prime Minister Peter O’Neill is expected to comment in the next few hours.
