PNG's Northern Governor Garry Juffa calls for MSG disband
Papua New Guinea's Northern Governor Garry Juffa says the Melanesian Spearhead Group has failed its original mandate and should be disbanded.
Juffa said that the MSG's leadership does not act in a way that represents Melanesian voices.
His comments comes as Prime Minister Peter O'Neill announces support for Indonesia to become an associate member of the M-S-G.
This is likely to affect the bid by the United Liberation Movement for West Papua to join the regional body.
